| The NEA Steering Committee for Nuclear Energy, has mandated a 'Task Group on Improving the Gender Balance in the Nuclear Sector' to collect and analyse data about women representation in the nuclear sector and to formulate proposal and recommendations for further support a gender-balanced workforce. The task group consisted of representatives from member countries with policy-level responsibilities or recognised expertise and included government officials and experts from industry and research organisations. Italy is represented in this group by SOGIN and ENEA. The three objectives of the NEA Task Group are: (1) collection and analysis of data and best practices, (2) formulating policy recommendations to enhance the contributions of women to the nuclear energy sector, and (3) communication and engagement activities. |
